ABOUT THE 108TH
Citizen-Soldiers. Professional Musicians.
Based at Papago Park Military Reservation in Phoenix, the 108th Army Band is made up of Arizona Army National Guard soldiers who serve their state and country while holding civilian careers as music educators, performers, students, and professionals in fields far beyond music. That dual identity — soldier and musician — is what sets the 108th apart.
In addition to full concert and ceremonial band performances, members of the 108th regularly form smaller specialty ensembles spanning jazz, brass, and woodwind chamber music, giving event organizers the flexibility to book the exact sound and size that fits their occasion — from a formal military ball to an intimate reception.
The pages that follow introduce all nine ensembles available for civic events, military ceremonies, parades, patriotic observances, galas, and community celebrations throughout Arizona — organized here from our largest full ensembles down to our most intimate chamber groups.
